The gallery was founded the 3rd of july 1998 by arthistorian Drs Alexandra van Dedem and is situated in a monument from 1559 in Olst. The main focus of the gallery is to present the work of emerging artists from the Netherlands and abroad and thereby to show an overview of the variety of the art of our time. The gallery shows 4 exhibitions per year, with 2-4 artists per exhibition. The duration of an exhibition is always 3 months. The large and light rooms are a perfect environment for contemporary paintings, sculptures and installations. Another focus of the gallery is to advise enterprises with the building of a new art collection or to broaden existing collections. Some enterprises we successfully advised are: American Express, Publicies B.V., PCM Dagbladen, Ernst&Young, Mitsubishi MotorsNederland, DAF Nederland, Roche Nederland. Since January 1st 2003 the gallery is accepted by the Mondrian Foundation. This means that private customers (dutch inhabitants) can purchase works of art at 0% interest rates.
